Register an account - Top
- It is very simple to register an account on mynoteIT. Start by visiting our registration
page and entering the necessary information. You do not need a .edu email address to register an
account on mynoteIT.
Login to your account - Top
- After you register your account, you can start using it immediately. When you come back to mynoteIT, there is
a login box on our main page, or you can visit our login page.
Your classes - Top
Add a new class - Top
- You can add a new class on the add class page. On this page, the course number is
optional (and usually only used for college students), and the "What time do you take this class" options are
optional. If you choose to fill in these values, we will compile a class schedule for you.
Edit a class - Top
- You can change any information about any of your classes from the class list page. We
encourage users not to change this information unless it's absolutely necessary (like a typo).
Teacher contact information - Top
- We know how important it can be to contact your teacher quickly, so we allow you to store all your teacher's contact information in mynoteIT. Simply visit your class list and inside any class select "Teacher contact information". From here you can input their email address, web address, phone number, office number and office hours.
Class grades - Top
- As you receive papers and tests back from your teacher, you can add the grades to our GPA calculator and we
will keep a list of all your assignments, scores, and current grade for each of your classes.
Archive classes - Top
- Once you graduate from your classes, you can still keep the notes and other info without having them
clutter up your class list. Simple click "Archive class" from your class
list page and it will only be viewable in your archives.
Delete a class - Top
- If you no longer need a class you can remove it completely from mynoteIT. Please remember, if you delete a
class all the notes, due dates and other information associated with that class will be removed. You can delete
your classes from the class list page.
Add a new assignment - Top
- It's very easy to add an assignment to mynoteIT. We will keep them all in a nice
list for you on your homepage, and you can choose to receive email reminders and/or text message reminders for
all your upcoming assignments. You can also choose how many days in advance you would like to be notified of each
assignment. Check out the add assignment page to get started.
Your class schedule - Top
- When you added your class, you had the option to select what days and times you took that class. If you chose
to do so, you can check out your class schedule in 5-day, or 7-day format.

Taking notes - Top
- You can begin taking notes for any of your classes on your class list page. You will
also have the option to begin taking notes while you're viewing any of your class notes. When you begin taking
notes you will see the workspace utilities on top where you can instantly translate words to different languages,
and lookup the definition of words. Simply title your notes, tag your notes (optional) and then take your notes.
Editing notes - Top
- You can edit your notes anytime from a few locations. The "recent notes" list on your
homepage shows you your most recent notes, and gives you the option to edit them. You can go to your class list, choose which class you took the notes in, and click edit.
Print notes - Top
- After you take or edit notes, you will be taken to the notes you just took. From here you can select the
"Print notes" option to be taken to a printer-friendly webpage to neatly print your notes. You can also download
your notes and print them from Open Office or Microsoft Word.
